  • Turn machine on.

  • Open front cover.

  • Release the green lock lever.

  • Remove the old toner cartridge and drum unit assembly from the printer.

  • Unpack the new Brother toner cartridge and remove protective cover.

  • Push the new toner cartridge into the drum unit until it locks in place. 

  • Slide the green tab of the corona wire left and right several times. 

  • Return the tab to the Home position. The arrow on the tab must be aligned with the arrow on the drum unit. 

  • Close the front cover of the machine.

  • Do not turn off the machine or open the front cover until the machine returns to Ready Mode.

Remember, third-party or remanufactured toner cartridges may damage your Brother printer or deliver inferior prints.
